Spending wayyyy too many hours of sketching and then forgetting the thing I needed to sketch in the first place! (But I think this helped me get a degree)

Currently hunting for a job opportunity and recovering from polishing my portfolio and this website for the last 6 months.

HOW DO I DESCRIBE MY DESIGN STYLE?

 

Minimalism meets maximalism; and then they got happily married despite the cultural complexity.

WHERE AM I LOCATED?

​

Currently in Portsmouth. But I have been spotted in London, Brighton, Kuala Lumpur, Berlin, Chennai, Istanbul, Amsterdam and Copenhagen.

WHAT SKILL DO I VALUE THE MOST? 

​

The ability to relate with people. All of us have our own opinions and ideologies but what binds us together is the effort to foster strong relationships even with our differences. My experiences from travelling around Europe and growing up in a diverse community in South East Asia have given me the platform to engage in mind opening conversations to gain invaluable insights about how people think.

SOMETHING ABOUT ME THAT NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW?

I studied Architecture in the Netherlands 5 years ago and realised my passion lies in designing  consumer products. Buildings are cool but products are cooler. *mic drop

WHAT IS YOUR GOAL?

​

1) Seeing my Mom use a product at home and me saying, "Oh wait, I designed that, hah. Good choice."

2) To one day be a role model for people of color in UK's industrial design industry.

WHERE DO I SEE MYSELF IN 5 YEARS?

​

Advising junior designers that life will get more challenging but it's all worth it.
